Pain Travel Award

PCPR Travel Award:

The Pittsburgh Center for Pain Research is pleased to announce PCPR Travel Awards for its trainees. Two $500 awards will be given annually on a competitive basis to help PCPR trainees present the results of their research (e.g., Meeting, Conference, Congress) anywhere in the world. The purpose of the award is to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence in pain research. The award should be used to help offset the cost of attendance (i.e., travel, lodging, registration).

Eligibility:

Graduate students and postdocs who are active members of the Pittsburgh Center for Pain Research and who are presenting their pain-related research at scientific meetings.

How to apply:

Applicants should submit: 1. their biosketch, 2. their abstract for the meeting, and 3. a one-page cover letter that briefly describes the meeting, indicates that the author has been accepted to the meeting, and details how participating at this meeting would be beneficial to their academic development and career. Please send application materials to Michael Gold msg22@pitt.edu.

Deadlines are June 1 and December 1. In general, applicants should apply prior to the meeting, once their abstract has been accepted. In unusual cases, exceptions can be made upon permission from Michael Gold.
